CLUB SHOOTS
Skeet shoots are held monthly on the first or second Sunday of
each month. Check the latest newsletter or
calendar for program and
times.
Sporting
clays and 5-stand shoots are now being held on the third Sunday of
each month.
NOVICE SKEET LEAGUE
The 2008 Novice skeet league starts Tuesday, April 8, and will be every Tuesday
through May. We will start the first teams to arrive at
about 5:30. The next teams should be starting about 6:15 and finish
about 7:00 pm. It is not mandatory that you make every shoot but the
more regular you shoot, the more improvements you will make. There
will be an instructor on each field.
There is no entry fee and the rounds cost $7 or $10
per night depending on whether you are a club member or guest.
We will shoot two rounds a night (two boxes of shot shells). Any gauge
or action will be all right. You need ear and eye protection plus a
shell bag helps. A ball cap helps keep the sun off and sunglasses
are good on bright days. If you have any questions ask me.

Remember that this is a fun league, so come out and
enjoy yourself at the Grand Prairie Gun Club on Tuesdays. This is a
good way to learn how to shoot skeet and it is open to anyone needing to learn
(including children) or just improve their shooting
COMPETITION SKEET LEAGUE
The 2008 Competition Skeet
League will begin on Wednesday, April 16. The later start
date will ensure that teams that shoot second will not run out
of daylight. The league will run for no longer than 11
weeks, depending on the number of teams that desire to
participate. We can accommodate up 8 teams.
If you are interested in
participating in the league, send an e-mail with your name (all
5 members if you are submitting an entire team) and phone
number(s) to Don as soon as possible.
